The case study on play therapy for a Asperger Syndrome child

Abstract
This case study was an individual play therapy on 9-year-old boy with Asperger syndrome. In this case study, we looked into the play therapy course of the child and Asperger syndrome was to examine the course to be changed. This child lacked in social-emotional ability, cognitive skill, communication skill, unique interest, movement skill due to Asperger syndrome. So, therapist put the treatment goal to an Asperger syndrome relief of the child according to this. Therapist observed an Asperger syndrome of the child with a child-centered play therapy and helped the understanding of parents at first stage. In middle stage, in play therapy course, therapist could change naturally the problem which the parents appealed with the symptoms of the child. In final stage, therapist intervened and cooperated together with the parents and made the change of the child to be maintained. An Asperger syndrome of the child was eased through such approach method , which appeared at pre-post scale and psychologist test.
